PURPOSE: To stabilize temperature at a furnace outlet of combustion exhaust gas, by a method wherein an apparatus for feeding refuse into a furnace and a stoker are operated or stopped in response to the detected value of a combustion waste gas temperature at the combustion waste gas outlet of a furnace body.
CONSTITUTION: Charged refuse, stored in a charging hopper 3, is dropped onto a drying stoker 7 through a reciprocating motion of a refuse feeder 2, and is conveyed in a dry condition to a combustion stoker 8 for incineration. Fire-retarding refuse is further conveyed to an after-combustion stoker 9 where it is perfectly incinerated. A combustion air (c), blown in through the lower part of the stoker, is sucked through a refuse pit 16 by a forced air fan 17, and is heated to a high temperature air by an air preheater 14. According to a detected temperature of detecting thermocouple 12 for temperature at a furnace outlet against a set temperature of an automatic temp. controller 19 at a furnace outlet of the combustion waste gas, hydraulic cylinders 7aW9a for driving the refuse feeder 2, the drying stoker 7, the combustion stoker 8, and the after- cumbustion stoker 9 are simultaneously brought into an ON-OFF state. Even in case an extroadinary excess of a refuse feed quantity and a rapid change in heating value occur, this method enables bringing of a combustion device into an ON-OFF state by means of a temperature signal out of a control range, which results in obtaining a less uneven and stable temperature at a furnace outlet.
