Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a compact device for adjusting the phases of shafts, capable of stably transmitting a large torque having a large variation and having a good workability, by transferring a pin held between vanes on the input and output shaft sides by a fluid pressure in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of vanes 7 extending in the radial direction are formed equidistantly in a rotor 2 integrally formed with an input shaft. A plurality of vanes 8 extending in the axial direction are formed equidistantly in a casing 4 formed integrally with an output shaft. Spaces 9 formed by the vanes 7 and the vanes 8 are expanded in the radial direction. In each of the spaces 9 a pin 10 is made movable internally and externally. When a pressure is applied to an oil groove 14, a pressure is produced in oil chambers 9b and 9a, and the pin 10 moves. Therefore, the casing 4 rotates relatively counterclockwise with respect to the rotor 2, thus the phase adjustment is carried out. When a pressure is applied to an oil groove 14, the reverse result can be obtained.
