PURPOSE: To miniaturize the overall size of a magnetic recording/reproducing device by forming an upper panel of the main body case and a cassette holder together in a body and turning the cassette holder freely while standing the main body case.
CONSTITUTION: An upper panel 24b formed in a body with a cassette holder 21 can turn centering on a turning fulcrum 21a, and therefore a rear edge 21c and a circular arcuate part 21d have no contact with a power supply part 23 when the holder 21 is vertically opened and closed outdoor. Thus the user has no handling inconvenience. With such a constitution of the holder 21, printed circuit boards 26 and 32 containing many electronic parts 26a, 32a, 32b, etc. can be loaded into a space formed by a guard panel 22a of a cassette 22 or a space under a chassis 28. Thus those circuit boards can be easily connected to other circuit systems. In such a way, both the holder 21 and the panel 24b are unified and the turning base board is set into a space at the upper part of the cassette 22. Thus it is possible to miniaturize a magnetic recording/reproducing device.
