PURPOSE: To manufacture inexpensively a cylindrical member without causing burrs by bringing each free end of a U-shaped blank material into press contact with the outer circumferential surface of a revolving body by a driving means.
CONSTITUTION: Both free ends of a U-shaped blank material are located mutually oppositely to revolving bodies 27 located at the under side; both free ends are respectively brought into press contact with the outer circumferential surfaces at the opposite surface side of the bodies 27 located mutually oppositely to the free ends, when a semi-form punch 20 and a core 22 are lowered in one body. Further, the revolving bodies 27 are revolved respectively with the lowering of the free ends, and the blank material is simultaneously bent to the mutually approaching direction of the free ends. When the punch 20 is lowered to a prescribed position and a cylindrical member is formed, the punch 20 and the core 22 are raised in one body; when the core 22 is raised to a prescribed position, both are stopped. When the core 22 is discharged from a recessed part 21 by successively raising the punch 20, the cylindrical member is also discharged, together with the core 22, from the part 21 to the outside.
