Abstract:
PURPOSE: The titled composition, containing chlorinated polypropylene as a main component, having improved adhesive properties to finishing coating material films, and capable of giving the finishing coating films having improved water, impact and weather resistance, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A primer composition containing a chlorinated polypropylene with preferably 15W40wt% chlorination degree obtained by dissolving polypropylene in a solvent, and chlorinating the polypropylene with chlorine gas blown into the solution as a main component. The resultant composition is applied to automotive bumpers by brushing, spray coating or dip coating, etc. to give preferably 5W15μ dried film thickness.
