PURPOSE: To improve the cornering characteristic and steering feeling by installing an expandable member which can be extended and contracted by the hydraulic pressure controlled through steering, onto the spring of a suspension apparatus for a car having a pair of wheels at right and left.
CONSTITUTION: When a steering wheel 20 is operated in the direction of arrow, a slider 13 is moved rightward (b) and a hydraulic piston 27 moves rightward, and a pinion 18 turns to supply oil into a cylinder 232 through a cylinder chamber 262 and an oil pressure pipe 252, and oil flows into a cylinder chamber 261 from a cylinder 231. Therefore, the cylinder 232 is shifted upwardly by the hydraulic pressure, and an extension and contraction member 242 is extended, and a suspension spring 142 is extended. While, a suspension spring 141 is contracted. Therefore, the chassis is tilted in the turning direction. Thus, the steering feeling similar in case of a motorcycle can be obtained on cornering operation, and the cornering characteristic can be improved.
