Title:
TURBINE ROTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6057011
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve yield of a journal by molding low alloy steel portion on a journal body by electroslag rewelding, annealing the low alloy steel portion and then machining it in a journal contour. CONSTITUTION:A turbine rotor 1 is vertically disposed in a rotor bit 2, and half copper molds 3 are joined by bolts around the outer periphery of a journal body to form a mold for a journal. After a molding start plate 5 is placed at the lower end of the copper mold 3 on the rotor bit 2, a consumable electrode material 6 is inserted into the copper mold 3. When the consumable electrode material 6 and the molding start plate 5 are energized, the consumable electrode material 6 is heated by electric resistance of molten slag 7 in the copper mold 3 and drops for settlement from the free end thereof in globules 8 to gradually form a low alloy steel portion 9. Then the low alloy steel portion 9 is machined in such a way as to have a circular section to form notched peripheral grooves 10.
