PURPOSE: To perform comfortable radiation heating by forming a coat of a radiant material having a high emissivity of far infrared rays on a transparent base plate or a metal base plate and using far infrared rays.
CONSTITUTION: Far infrared ray radiant material 5 is a heat hardened material formed by dispersing and mixing in a silicon carbide polymer or more of oxides of metals such as Zr, Ti, Si, Fe, Cu, Mn, Ni and the like, or mixtures of the metal oxides and a member or more of oxides of rare earth elements such as La, Ce, Pr, Nd and the like. For the silicon carbide polymer is adapted organic polyporoxane. A transparent base plate 6 or a metal base plate is coated with the far infrared ray radiant material 5, and is used as a far infrared ray radiant body. Further, to the above described radiant material is added as a coloring agent a pigment consisting of at least a member or more of elements such as Ti, Ba, Ni, Co, Zr, Fe, Al and the like. As a result, radiating heating which is advantageous from the viewpoint of energy and is comfortable, can be performed.
