Title:
MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6025014
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce ground film noises (spike noise) greatly by using a thin- film head which does not use any bulk magnetic material at all.

CONSTITUTION: A lower magnetic layer 11 is formed by using a target consisting of 77.5wt% Ni and 22.5wt% Fe; the film thickness is 0.5μm near a part B on a recording-medium facing surface and 3μm at a rear core part, and the length D is about 2W5μm. An insulating layer 12 between the lower magnetic layer 11 and a conductor coil 13 has a 3μm film thickness. In a figure, 14 is an organic insulator layer. An upper magnetic layer 15 is formed of amorphous alloy consisting of 76at.% Co. 12at.% Cr, and 12at.% Zr to an about 20μm thickness. The lower magnetic layer 11 of this thin-film head serves as a main magnetic pole and the upper magnetic layer 15 serves as an auxiliary magnetic pole. Further, an angle θ is set preferably to 60W87° so as to eliminate a gap between a recording medium and the main magnetic pole.
