Title:
HEAT-TRANSFER TUBE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04103714
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain efficient heat transmission, to miniaturize a heater or a cooler and to reduce the equipment construction cost by heating or cooling a strip by convection as well as radiation utilizing the property of a low-frequency sound wave.

CONSTITUTION: A continuous heating and cooling device for a strip is formed by a low-frequency vibration generator 1, a resonance tube 2 and a heat-transfer chamber 3. A low-frequency sound wave at about 10-20 Hz frequency is generated from the generator 1, and the resonance tube 2 is communicated to the openings of the generator 1 on its both sides to form a looped closed circuit and has the length of half the wavelength of the low-frequency sound wave emitted from the generator 1. The heat-transfer chamber 3 is communicated to the intermediate part of the resonance tube 2 as a part of the pipleine, the side wall 4 constituting a part of the pipeline is formed with a heat-transfer tube 5 and a heat-transfer rib 6 furnished to the tube 5, and an opening 10 for the passage of the strip 7 is provided. Meanwhile, the side wall 4 provided between the strips 7 is preferably used as the side wall 4 of the adjacent heat- transfer chamber 3.
