PURPOSE: To reduce the memory capacity, by using a map in which the intervals of interpolation in a particular region are made smaller than those at the other region as a data map for searching an aimed sampling position of an injection quantity control member determined on the basis of an injection control value and the engine speed.
CONSTITUTION: In a control circuit 2 which is furnished with output signal of various detectors 1aW1e for detecting the operational conditions of an engine and controls an injection quantity control member 4 by an electromagnetic actuator 3, a two-dimensional data map for searching the aimed position of the injection quantity control member 4 from the position on the coordinates of the engine speed N and the final aimed injection quantity Q is stored in a ROM2e of a micro computer 2a. In this data map, the intervals between lattice points (intervals of interpolation) at the region where the engine speed N is Nc to Nd are made one half of those of the other region, and similarly, the intervals of interpolation at the region where the final aimed injection quantity Q is Qa W Qc are made one half of those of the other region.
