PURPOSE: To prevent a reversed flow of lubricating oil by means of an edge effect and feed a sufficient quantity of oil to necessary lubricating sections by forming intake and discharge ports in a taper shape and providing a space in connection to a small-diameter section of both ports.
CONSTITUTION: An intake port 32 is formed in a taper shape with its opening side to a pump chamber 12 side being a small-diameter section and with its opening side to a case 1 being a large-diameter section, and a space A35 is provided in connection to the said small-diameter section. On the other hand, a discharge port 34 is formed in a taper shape with its opening side to an oil feed path 33 side being a small-diameter section and with its opening section to the pump chamber 12 being a large-diameter section, and a space B37 is provided in connection with the said small-diameter section. Accordingly, when the lubricating oil is sucked or discharged through the intake port 32 or discharge port 34 in conjunction with the reciprocating movement of a vane 10, the flow is contracted due to each space A35 or B37 to provide an edge effect, thus preventing a reversed flow. Thereby, a sufficient quantity of oil can be fed to necessary lubricating sections.
