Title:
MANUAL STARTING DEVICE FOR ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59136565
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten an axial length including a crank shaft remarkably by a method wherein a starter is retracted rotatably in case one end of a rotary shaft, such as the crank shaft or the like, is extended into the axial direction thereof and a recoil starter is monted on the extended part.

CONSTITUTION: When a starter rope 6b is pulled, a starter main body 6 is bent and deformed, the starter main body 6 rotates into a normal direction under contacting the inner peripheral wall thereof with the extended part 3 of the shaft, a clutch 10 is developed outwardly to connect a pulley 2 through an engaging part 10b, the crank shaft is rotated and the engine is rotated. Thereafter, the starter main body stops on a holding member 4 during the operation of the engine. Accordingly, only the load of the recoil starter is made to be borne when the starter main body is not rotated, therefore, function may be specialized and the structure may be simplified.
