PURPOSE: To provide a handle bag firm in structure and free from wrinkles by forming a continuous strip body out of a plastic film, and providing each perpendicularly folded part in a flat condition with the prescribed ratio to the whole width of the bag.

CONSTITUTION: A tube obtained from a plurality of continuous sheets of a plastic film is provided with longitudinally folded parts S1-S2 opposite to each other and of equal size, and provided with a transverse seal part 10 to close a bottom of each bag with the prescribed interval P. A notched opening 2 to provide a handle part M1-M2 is provided in the center slightly away from each seal part 10, and closed at a top part by a seal part 3-103 parallel to the seal part 10. A weakened cut or perforation 4-104 is provided in an area to be connected to the bottom part of the bag continuous to the handle part M1-M2 of each bag, and when the bag is pulled in the longitudinal direction, the bag is torn from the continuous strip body. The bag having the bottom part of the excellent mechanical strength can be manufactured by forming a folded part having the width of approximately 75% of the bag in a flattened condition.
