PURPOSE: To form a coating film having a uniform thickness to the inner surface of a hollow article to be coated, by providing a plurality of flowlines of a powdery paint to one opening part of the article to be coated while exhausting the excessive paint from the other opening part along with air.
CONSTITUTION: A coating apparatus 1 has a closing plate 2 and a suction member 3 and the closing plate 2 closes one opening part 41 of an article 4 to be coated while a slit 21 is provided to the opening part 41 to form the flowline of a powdery paint. On the other hand, the opening end 31 of the suction member 3 is matched with the other opening part 4 of the article 2 to be coated. In this case, high air-tightness is not required between the opening end 31 of the suction member and the opening part 42 of the article to be coated. Therefore, a uniform coating can be formed or the inner surface of the article to be coated having a complicated inner surface configuration.
