Abstract:

PURPOSE: To translate characters to braille symbols from visual characters by a method wherein characters are inputted from a key board, while the characters are stored into a memory storage while being displayed as visual ones and the characters are outputted as braille symbols from the memory storage.

CONSTITUTION: Character symbols (visual characters) inputted from an input equipment 2 are displayed as visual ones to a CRT5 through a CPU1 and a visual character generator 4 for visual ones while being memorized at the memory storage 3 (when there is an error, the error is corrected by using the input equipment 2). When a desirable composition is prepared by repeating said operation, and no error existence is made sure by visual display on the CRT5, printing operation is executed and a character row previously stored into the memory storage 3 is outputted as braille symbols through a embossing generator 6 for braille, predetermined projecting sections are formed onto recording paper by means of a recorder 7 for braille, and a document on which braille is displayed is prepared.
