Abstract:
PURPOSE:To save time and forms by providing a register with a print interruption mode, and setting the print interruption mode for the interruption of printing and printing a void mark on a receipt when an error in operation is found after the starting of the printing. CONSTITUTION:The electronic register which has an ROM 2, an RAM 3, a keyboard 4, a buzzer 5, a display 6, and a printer 7 under the control of a CPU 1 is provided with a print interruption mode in addition to a registration mode, an inspectiok mode, and a reckoning mode. The RAM 3 has two areas for storing set modes; a set mode in normal operation is stored in one area, and a set mode after printing operation is started is stored in the other area. Those areas each have a flag which is set to (1) when one of the registration, inspection, and reckoning modes is set. Once the print interruption mode is set, the flags are all set to (0). Consequently, a void mark is printed on a receipt after the completion of the printing of one line being printed. Thus, time and forms are saved.
