Title:
CRUSHING DEVICE FOR EMPTY CANS FOR BEVERAGES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5816799
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To crush empty cans safely and surely with a compact device by providing a pair of prepressing rolls, compressing rolls and spring-back preventing rolls of specific shapes in triplex in a vertical direction.

CONSTITUTION: Empty cans are detained by the biting edges 2 provided to prepressing rolls 6, and are pressed to the other saw tooth surfaces 4. As the rolls 6, 6 revolve, the cans are pressed and half crushed by plane parts 1, arc surfaces 3 and the surfaces 4. The half-crushed cans 5' are turned over by baffle plates 15, 15, and fall into the clearance between compressing rolls 9, 9'. As the rolls 9, 9' revolve, the cans are sandwiched and fully crushed by saw tooth surfaces 8, 8'. The cans 5" deformed to a flat plate-like object are turned over by baffle plates 16, 16, fall into the clearance between spring-back preventing rolls 11, 11' and are sandwiched and again crushed by saw tooth surfaces 10, 10', whereby the cans are solidified to flat plate-like objects without any spring-back and elastic deformation.
