Title:
OIL SUPPLY MECHANISM OF FIXATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5929282
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the supply of a required amt. of oil irrespectively of the number of sheets to be conveyed by bringing an oil supply means into contact with a heating roll when printing paper is conveyed to a fixation device and releasing the contact when there is no conveyed paper.

CONSTITUTION: The bracket 10 of an oil wick 9 is connected with a spring 15 to a turnable shaft 14, and a leaf spring 13 is brought into contact with a bracket 10. A spring 19 is connected to a pin 17, and the wick 9 is normally pressed by the forked member 22 of a solenoid 18 in the direction where the wick is detached from a heating roll 1; no oil is supplied. When a means for detecting paper detects the conveyance of the paper, the solenoid 18 is actuated and retracted, and the spring 13 presses downward the wick 9 thereby supplying the oil to the roll 1. A required amt. of the oil is supplied to the roll at every passage of the paper irrespectively of the number of the paper to be conveyed.
