Title:
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR USED FOR SERVO MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5815479
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To use a permanent magnet revolving-field synchronous brushless motor as a servo motor by a method wherein a small-bit-numbered pulse coder with sufficiently large resolution is used. CONSTITUTION:A disc-shaped pulse coder 1 has the first pulse coder element 3 with three-bit segments 2, 2' and 2'', it can read an absolute angle position for the region of 2<3>=divided in eight parts, and besides, in each region which was divided in eight parts as above, it has the second pulse coder element 4 which was divided in twenty parts, for example, to give an increment, and it reads a relative angle position alone. Accordinly, an absolute angle position is detected at the moment when the synchronous motor started and the angle region (segment) of the first pulse coder element 3 made a change, and from this time on, the absolute angle position of the rotor will be detected successively by adding the output of the second pulse coder element 4 to the above absolute angle position.
