PURPOSE: To perform position specifying input operation directly at random to transparent electrodes and input position specifying information speedily and easily by providing the transparent electrodes at positions corresponding to a display and a printing surface.
CONSTITUTION: The transparent electrodes 7 and 8 having specific internal resistances distributed are provided onto a transparent panel 5, and a transparent insulating film 9 is stacked interposing between both electrodes. Holes bored in the insulating film 9 at specific intervals. The electrode 8 is pressed to contact the lower electrode 7, and a clock signal TP is outputted from a printer device 1 for a time corresponding to the depression position of the electrode 8 and inputted to an interface 14 through a cable 6. A circuit 14 converts the signal TP into a bit-parallel signal, whose pulses are counted by a counter 22. When a series of pulses is ceased, a control circuit 21 outputs an interrupt request signal IRQ to a CPU. Then, the CPU receives it and reads the counted value of the counter 22 to obtain print start information, advancing the processing.
