PURPOSE: To reduce an influence exerted on a photosensitive material by a peeling pawl, and to extend a life of the photosensitive material by moving the peeling pawl in the direction orthogonal to the running direction of the photosensitive material.

CONSTITUTION: A peeling pawl 1, a holder 2 and a finger assembly 4 of a shaft are provided in the direction A orthogonal to the running direction of a photosensitive material, supported by a bracket 6, and also a wire 7 and a tension spring 8 are connected to one end side and the other end side, respectively. The wire 7 is wound to a pulley 10 of a driving shaft of a motor 9 at every constant copy sheet number, and the pawl 1 is moved in the direction A parallel to a shaft of the photosensitive material. Accordingly, it is prevented that the pawl 1 always contacts onto a prescribed circumferential line of the photosensitive material, and a life of the photosensitive material can be extended. Also, in case the winding quantity becomes full, it can be returned to its original state by a force of the spring 8.
