Title:
PREPARATION OF N-SUBSTITUTED CARBAMOYLBENZENE AND ITS NUCLEUS-SUBSTITUTED DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS595151
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound in high yield and purity, by adding a halogenated benzoyl slowly and dropwise to N-(higher alkyl or alkenyl)amine in a specific solvent in the presence of a base, and dissolving and removing the neutralized salt with water.

CONSTITUTION: In the dehydrohalogenative condensation of an N-(higher alkyl or alkenyl)amine of formula R1-NH2 (R1 is higher alkyl or alkenyl) with a halogenated benzoyl of formula I (X is halogen; R2 is lower alkyl, etc.; n is 0W5) or its nucleus-substituted derivative, said N-(higher alkyl or alkenyl)amine is dissolved in a chlorine compound solvent (e.g. chloroform), said halogenated benzoyl is added slowly and dropwise in the form of liquid or solid to the solution in the presence of a basic substance (e.g. NaOH), and the produced neutralized salt is dissolved and removed with water or hot water to obtain the objective compound of formula II.
