PURPOSE: To use different kinds of endoscopes interchangeably, easily and satisfactorily by controlling the opening of the valve of a branch blast pipe corresponding to the socket of the different endoscopes according to the movement of a built-in optical system to said socket for the purpose of connection.
CONSTITUTION: When a built-in optical device is moved along a guide rod 10, a socket 6 or the like among sockets 6, 8, etc. for different endoscopes and the optical device are connected, and the endoscope coupled to a plug 103 provided with a photoconductive sheath, etc. fitting to the socket 6 is used. The valve 120 or the like of a branch blast pipe 113 which is branched from a blast pipe 112 and corresponds to the socket 6 is opened by a slider 30 and air is blasted to the endoscope through the socket 6. The air blast through a branch pipe 113' to the socket 8, etc. which are not selected is not accomplished. Different kinds of the endoscopes are thus usd interchangeably and surely with the easy operation.
