PURPOSE: To enable an engine room to be compact by reducing the width and length of the engine room by providing one of the left and right frames equipped outside the left and right side portions of an engine with a muffler in a interposed form and covering at least the outside of this muffler with this frame.
CONSTITUTION: In a device which supports an engine 14 through a vibration preventing device 15, etc. at a front part of a car body frame 7 including left and right frames 1 comprising steel materials with a section of a box rectangle or a section of C type or H type, etc., an exhaust muffler 30 is interposed into a front part 1a of one of the left and right frames 1. Thus, at least both the left and right sides of the muffler 30 are covered and this muffler 30 is fixed to the frame 1 by bolts 31 with metal fittings 32 and 33. And an exhaust manifold 34 is connected to the entrance portion of the muffler 30 through an exhaust tube 37 and exhaust air passing through the muffler 30 is exhausted through a tail pipe 38 provided pointing to the outside of the frame 1.
