Abstract:

PURPOSE: To preserve the information on a handwritten pattern, by drawing character and pattern on the surface of an input panel, displaying the handwriting by a dot matrix type liquid crystal display device and storing the display contents into a memory as they are.

CONSTITUTION: X and Y direction electrode lines 2 and 3 are provided to an input panel 1 and then connected to a key strobe signal generating circuit 4 and an input detecting circuit 5 respectively. A liquid crystal display device 6 has the same form as the panel 1 and contains X and Y direction electrode lines 7 and 8 imposed on the lines 2 and 3 of the panel 1 respectively. A CPU17 supplies the timing signal to the circuit 4. At the same time, the position information designated by the timing of the circuit 5 is discriminated, and the device 6 is controlled synchronously with the control of the panel 1. Furthermore the designated position information is stored successively to a memory 18.
