Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a static pressure bearing mechanism and simplify the structure thereof by providing a radial static pressure bearing in a motor section composed of a rotor and a stator. CONSTITUTION:Configuration of a radial static pressure bearing is such that a motor 27 is composed of a stator 39 and a rotor 40, and annular grooves 42 are formed covering the whole outer peripheral face of the stator 39 correspondingly to air intake holes 31 formed on a housing 25, while a large number of flow passages 43 provided with nozzle holes 43a inside are radially formed from the bottom part of each annular groove 42 towards the inside diameter face of the stator 39 to eject compressed air to the outer surface of the rotor 40. Since a rotary shaft 26 can be reduced in its length due to the abovementioned structure, the overall device can be reduced in its size. Further, the structure is simplified because requirement for any other cooling mechanism is eliminated.
