Title:
HEAT-SENSITIVE TRANSFER MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5933186
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a heat-sensitive transfer medium capable of obtaining a high-density image and transferred images repeatedly, which is constituted of a transfer sheet provided with a transfer layer by coating and drying a coating liquid containing a leuco dye in a dissolved state and a receiving sheet provided with a receiving layer comprising a color developer and a specified compound.

CONSTITUTION: The transfer sheet provided with the transfer layer by applying a coating liquid containing a leuco dye (e.g., crystal violet lactone) in a dissolved state onto a base such as a paper followed by drying the liquid and the receiving sheet provided with the receiving layer by applying a color developer having a melting point of not higher than 200°C (e.g., 4-tert-butylphenol), a heat-fusible substance of the formula (wherein R1 is 10W30C alkyl; R2 is 1W30C alkyl) (e.g., decylacetamide) or the like, a porous filler (e.g., silica) and a binder (e.g., PVA) onto a base are laminated on each other so that the transfer layer and the receiving layer make contact with each other, thereby obtaining the objective heat-sensitive transfer medium.
