PURPOSE: The titled composition having long shelf life, improved low-temperature curing properties, adhesiveness to carbon fiber, not causing dry spot and turbulence of fiber, obtained by blending epoxy resin with an alkylphenolic resin with dicyandiamine, and a curing promotor.

CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. epoxy resin (preferably bisphenol A diglycidyl ether, etc.) is blended with preferably 2W20pts.wt. alkylphenolic resin shown by the formula (X is H, or CH2OH; R' is CH2OCH2, or CH2; R is ≥4C alkyl, phenyl), preferably 3W12pts.wt. dicyandiamide, and preferably 1.5W8pts.wt. curing promotor (preferably dichlorophenyl-1,1-dimethylurea), to give the desired composition.

USE: Fishing rod, golf shaft, etc.
