PURPOSE: To prevent deficiency of presence and stereophonic feeling by interlocking a transmission level adjusting means and a created level adjusting means and also bringing the increase/decrease in a signal level into the reciprocal relation so as to intensify the sound field spread effect attended with the decrease in sound volume.

CONSTITUTION: The reproducing device is constituted by an input signal level adjusting variable resistor, i.e., sound solume adjusting variable resistor 2, and a monaural signal sound image spread circuit 3 comprising an equalizer 4, a delay circuit 5, a delay signal output adjusting variable resistor 6, an effect adding amount lower limit setting resistor 7, and adders 8, 9 adding a direct sound signal and a delay signal. Then the delay signal output adjusting variable resistor 6 of the circuit 3 and the sound volume adjusting variable resistor 2 are controlled interlockingly. Since an amplitude and a phase reciprocal output showing a comb line filter amplitude characteristic are obtained at output terminals 10, 11, the reproduced sound pressure and phase between two speakers are changed according to the change in an input signal frequency component, the sound image which is localized at the center substantially is dispersed and the presence is increased and its effect is similar to the delay signal level impressed in opposite phase.
