PURPOSE: To obtain a device which permits easy handling by providing an active matrix liquid crystal display body, flash light source, filter plate provided with red, blue, green and transparent filter parts, a magnifying optical lens and instant photographing mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: An active matrix liquid crystal display body 1 is driven by a control circuit 2. A color image is imprinted dividedly in three times for red, green and blue and the colors are displayed on the body 1 with the luminance signals of the corresponding colors by moving the color filters of a filter plate 5 to the prescribed position. A white flash light source 3 is then triggered to emit light and the image screen of the body 1 formed by a condenser mirror 4 and a magnifying optical lens 6 is printed by an instant photographing mechanism 7. A color filter 8 for red, a color filter 9 for green, a color filter 10 for blue and a transparent filter 11 are provided to the plate 5. The video printer which permits easy handling is thus obtd.
