Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a molding of high quality stability by extruding a phenol resin molding material within a specified melt viscosity range.
CONSTITUTION: A fluid resistance is imparted with a tapered surface 3a against the extrusion force of a plunger 1 and the melt viscosity of a molding material is set at 5×103W5×107 poise to hold the fluid resistance within a proper range. This eliminates the tackiness of the composition (phenol resin blended with a base material, a filler, a hardening agent and other additives) to keep a balance between the extrusion force and the fluid resistance thereby accomplishing a continuous extrusion molding stably.
