Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a permanent magnet material with high coercive force and a high energy product by substituting Fe for a specified amount of Co in a composition consisting of specified percentages of a rare earth metal, Cu, Zr, Nb, V and Co.

CONSTITUTION: Fe is substituted for 6W23% of Co in a composition consisting of, by weight, 24W28% rare earth metal, 5W10% Cu, 0.2W5% in total of Zr+Nb, Zr+V or Zr+Nb+V and 57W70.8% Co. Sm, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Eu, Ga, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb or Lu is used as the rare earth metal. Thus, the reduction of the Br and coercive force is prevented, and a permanent magnet material with a high energy product is obtd.
