PURPOSE: To provide an electron beam-curable paint having excellent mechanical characteristics and resistance to solvents and staining, consisting of an alkyl (α-substd.) acrylate/alkylene glycol mono(meth)acrylate copolymer and a polyfunctional vinyl monomer or oligomer.
CONSTITUTION: A paint compsn. consists mainly of 100pts.wt. copolymer (A) composed of 94W60pts. alkyl acrylate or α-substd. acrylate having a number- average MW of 8,000W400,000, 6W40pts. alkylene glycol monomer and optionally 0W35pts. other copolymerizable monomer and 5W250pts. polyfunctional vinyl monomer contg. at least two radical polymerizable double bonds per molecule or oligomer (B) having an MW of 6,000 or below. In component B, the monomer has an MW of 500 or below and the ligomer has an MW of 500W6,000.
