Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled composition which gives a film having excellent film strength and impact strength and good printability and hand, obtained by compounding a PE, a PS, and CaCO3 or talc.

CONSTITUTION: The titled composition prepared by compounding 35W85wt% PE (preferably a medium-to-low-pressure PE having a density of 0.920W0.965g/cm3 and a melt index of 0.03W0.1g/10min), 5W15wt% PS (preferably a high-impact PS modified with a styrene homopolymer, a polybutadiene rubber, etc. having a density of 1.00W1.05g/cm3 and a melt index of about 3W5g/10min), and 10W 50wt% CaCO3 or talc. A packaging bag made of this composition has excellent film strength, especially impact strength, and excellent nerve. Therefore, this bag will make it easy to take the contents in and out and can keep the shape of the contents. It has good printability and an excellent decorative effect. Furthermore, it has soft hand and produces little unpleasant noise in handling. Thus this composition is extremely useful as a material for various packaging bags.
