PURPOSE: To attain assuredly dialing of a telephone number by producing a bar code list which contains plural telephone owners and the bar codes corresponding to those telephone numbers and scanning said list by a bar code reader.
CONSTITUTION: A bar code list contains the names of companies, groups and individuals in a left column L and the telephone numbers corresponding to the names of the column L in a right column R in the form of bar codes. This list is scanned by a bar code reader BCR, and the read numeric characters are stored to a numeric data register. Then these stored numeric characters are displayed at a display part 1B via a control part. Thus a simple and assured dialing operation is secured for telephones with reference to the numeric characters displayed at the part 1B.
