Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a building rubber sheet exhibiting a great power of clamping nails hammered into the sheet and having a high strength, by blending an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and a vinyl resin with an vulcanized rubber and molding the mixture in an unvulcanized state into a sheet.
CONSTITUTION: An ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer having a specific gravity of pref. 0.935W0.95, 45W5pts.wt. vinyl resin such as vinyl chloride or vinyl butyral resin and optionally additives such as filler, parting agent, colorant, etc. are blended with 50W90pts.wt. unvulcanized rubber such as styrene rubber. The mixture is kneaded and molded into a sheet.
