Title:
HEAT EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5932792
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the crossed fin type heat exchanger with small draft resistance and excellent heat transfer performance by a structure wherein fins having upright raised parts formed by slitting and long and short distances from a coolant pipe to the tip of a fin respectively adjacent to each other are provided.

CONSTITUTION: Due to the structure that the position of the front end 1a of the fin is shifted on every other fin, because the distance from the coolant pipe 3 to the front end 1a of the fin is provided long and short as indicated by the segments of lines with arrow heads X1 and X2 on adjacent fins 1 and, in addition, the upright shaved parts 2 are also provided on the fins 1, as for the air flow flowing in the direction B diagonal to the fins, a part thereof passes through the upright shaved parts 2, resulting in enabling to gently change the direction of said air flow by scattering the flow. Consequently, the sharp change of the direction of air flow flowing diagonal to the fins, which occured in the conventional radiators, can be eliminated and the increase of the draft resistance is suppressed to a small amount and at the same time the improvement of the heat transfer rate between air and the fins 1 can be realized due to the increase of the contact area between air and the fins.
