PURPOSE: To set up a pickup coil electromagnetically coupled with a local amplification part and to make small-sized a converter by opposing a prescaler part to the 1st local oscillation part and the 1st local amplification part in the same chassis.

CONSTITUTION: A CAT converter is constituted of the 1st mixer part 3, the 1st local oscillation part 4, the 1st local amplification part 5, the prescaler 10, etc. The prescaler part 10 of the coverter is opposed to the oscillation part 4 and the amplification part 5 and these parts are stored in the same chassis of a tunner. The prescaler part 10 is provided with the pickup coil 23 to input a necessary local signal. The coil 23 is set up so as to be electromagnetically coupled with the amplification part 5. The prescaler part 10 is built in the inside of the tunner to make small-sized the CAT converter.
