Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a leak of steam to the outside, by drawing blow-down steam from a high pressure internal casing through an expansion pipe, setting the expansion pipe at an angle with a horizontal level and tightening an external casing with a double-end stud. CONSTITUTION:A bleed hole is drilled to a high pressure internal casing, and an expansion pipe 4 is diagonally provided, then a flange 5 is mounted to a high- medium pressure external casing 1 by bolts. While a pipe 6, guiding blow-down steam, is welded to the flange 5. A horizontal flange tightening bolt 8 of the high-medium pressure external casing is used with a double-end stud 8b, and its both ends are tightened by nuts 9. In this way, an internal thread screw can be eliminated, and an external leak of steam due to damage of the internal thread screw can be prevented.
