Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a semiconductor element due to counterelectromotive power by supplying electric power to a motor after operating initially an inverter circuit at the starting time and stopping the inverter circuit at the last at the stopping time. CONSTITUTION:A voltage from an AC power source is rectified to drive an induction motor 1 via an inverter which has transistors TR1-TR6. An OFF delay timer 25 is closed at the starting time, a control circuit 19 is operated via contacts 16, 18, thereby driving the inverter, a contactor 12 is thereafter closed upon closing of a start button 27, thereby supplying electric power to the motor 1. When the contactor 12 is opened at the stopping time, the contact 16 of the OFF delay timer 25 remains the same, the control circuit 19 continues its operation for a while and the inverter is stopped after the prescribed period. Accordingly, the damage of a semiconductor element due to counterelectromotive force generated at the time of interrupting the power source can be completely prevented.
