PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight welding torch that can weld a narrow part, by providing an annular groove on the nozzle of a welding torch, and providing two spiral grooves on the outer periphery of the torch body, and circulating cooling water through these grooves.
CONSTITUTION: In the body 1 of a torch having a welding cable connecting part on an end and a tip 3 on another end, and having a built-in pipe 2 for feeding a consumable electrode, an annular groove 6 is provided on a nozzle 5 installed outside of the tip 3. Two spiral grooves 20, 21 are provided on the outer periphery of the body 1 of the torch. An end of the spiral groove 20 communicates with a water supply chamber 23, and another end communicates with the annular groove 6 to form a water supply groove. An end of the spiral groove 21 communicates with a draining chamber 24 and another end communicates with the annular groove 6 to form a drain. By this way, cooling effect of the body 1 of the torch can be improved and the body 1 can be made small and light.
