Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a coating composition, capable of preventing a scale from settling and damaging in a coating and suitable as finish coating, etc., for automotive bodies by coating the scale composed of a high-specific gravity metal such as gold or nickel with a synthetic resin.

CONSTITUTION: The objective coating composition (gold dust) 5 is obtained by laminating a gold leaf (scale) 12 composed of a high-specific gravity metal such as gold or nickel with a synthetic resin 10 such as a polyester resin. Furthermore, a coating containing ≤0.01-1wt.% aforementioned composition.
