Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition suitable for repairing, by injection, cracks on concrete buildings or liftings on outside wall mortar, comprising liquid major agent made up of each specific amount of liquid epoxy resin, specific diluent and ultrafine-powdered silica and amine curing agent.

CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprising the following separate two components: (A) liquid major agent with a viscosity 500W30,000cps at room temperature, prepared by incorporating (i) 100pts.wt. of a mixture of liquid epoxy resin and at least one sort of diluent selected from reactive diluents having in one molecule one epoxy group and diluents having in one molecule both aromatic ring and ≥2 epoxy groups with (ii) 3W12pts.wt. of ultrafine-powdered silica and (B) amine curing agent (e.g. diethylenetriamine). Just before putting the composition to service, the above two components are intimately mixed.

EFFECT: Free from development of sags caused by heat of reaction or shear force; good in workability, thus easy to handle.
