PURPOSE: To aim at improvements in the degree of freedom in a fuel pressure- feed rate, by installing two actuators which displaces a control sleeve, opening or closing two spill ports on the side of a plunger, to each of both circumferential and axial directions.
CONSTITUTION: Two spill ports 51 and 52 are installed in the side of a plunger 26 distributing and feeding fuel from a distributing port 35 with pressure, and these ports are opened to a low pressure space 22. A control sleeve 53 is installed on and around the plunger 26, while the control sleeve 53 is displaced in the circumferential direction by an actuator 63, opening or closing the spill port 51, and the control sleeve 53 is, in turn, displaced in the axial direction by an acutator 71, opening or closing the spill port 52. With ths constitution, a start and an end of pressure-feed of fuel as well as a pressure-period of time are all freely changed, thus the degree of freedom in a fuel pressure-feed rate is improvable ever so high.
