PURPOSE: To form hot air current by blue flame and obtain dryed foodstuff having good quality by a method wherein a keroscene combustion type burner arranged in an air flowing cylinder is supplyed with combustion air from a blower separately installed.
CONSTITUTION: Within the air passing cylinder 9 of the device for applying the air of a fan 11 to foodstuff and drying it are arranged a combustion keroscene supplying device 21 and a burner having a rotary type heating cup 19 for gasifying the keroscene supplied from the device 21. In the foodstuff drying device, the burner is arranged in the air flowing cylinder 9 and irrespective of this arrangement, the air from the fan 11 is not supplied and the combustion air is supplied from the blower 25 separately installed. That is, it is possible to feed a requisite and sufficient volume of air, so that the hot air can be formed with a blue flame and the foodstuff is dried by the hot air. So, the quality of the food stuff is improved by the hot air and no soot is generated, resulting in that no fear for an occurance of fire is found and its complete combustion enables a high efficiency of combustion as well as an economic operation.
