Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [X is H, lower alkyl, halogen, nitro, cyano, lower alkoxy, etc.; Z is H, halogen, alkyl, acylamino, benzoylamino, etc., R1WR4 are each H or alkyl; R5 is H, (substituted) alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl, etc.].
EXAMPLE: A compound of formula II.
USE: For blue dyeing or printing of synthetic fibers such as of polyester, polyamide. Having excellent dyeability, dye bath and pH stability, build-up characteristics, etc.
PROCESS: An amine of formula III (e.g., 3-amino-5-nitro-2,1-benzoisothiazole) is diazotized followed by coupling with a compound of formula IV (e.g. 1-ethyl-2,2,4- trimethyl-7-acetylamino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline).
