PURPOSE: To superpose an image by a specified wavelength component from an object to be observed with a visible image to observe by converting the image formed by the specified wavelength component to the visible image by an image intensifier tube, and also observing directly both the images through the half mirror of a visible image observing optical system and an eyepiece.
CONSTITUTION: The ultraviolet image of an object to be observed 1 is formed as a visible image on the fluorescent surface 8 of an image intensifying tube 3, and observed through a half mirror 11 and an eyepiece. On the other hand, the light from the object to be observed 1 is observed directly as a visible image of unmagnification through telephoto type lenses 10b, 10c of a direct visible image observing optical system 10, a total reflector 10d, half mirror 11 and the eyepiece 12.
