Title:
TWO DIMENSIONAL VISUAL RECOGNIZER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS619773
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain the accurate recognition of an object by detecting a high speed a position shift degree of an input pattern compared with a standard pattern and executing the correction of positions between both patterns.

CONSTITUTION: When a standard pattern P and an input pattern Pi are fetched by a memory, the distance (number of picture elements) from the head pattern component picture element (black) is also measured for both patterns by a counter 15. An arithmetic processor 17 calculates a position shift amount between both patterns Pi and P based on the output of the counter 15. This shift amount is preset to address counters (vertical and horizontal counters 7 and 8) of a memory 5 storing the pattern P. Then the component data of the pattern Pi of a buffer memory and the pattern P are read out at a time for measurement of the degree of coincidence between both pattern data.
