Abstract:
PURPOSE:To ensure the stable tracking control despite a large disturbance mixed into a tracking error signal by providing a resonance circuit having a resonance frequency approximately equal to the rotary frequency of a recording carrier or an information reading head to a tracking control means. CONSTITUTION:A tracking error signal is supplied to a tracking control means 3 to produce the actuator driving voltage. An acutuator 7 shifts an information reading head 2 with said driving voltage. The head 2 is moved back to a position where the information is read most easily from a track 1. The tracking error signal is supplied to a differential compensating circuit 5 through a loop switch 4. The output of the circuit 5 is applied to a resonance circuit 8 to increase the gain of a frequency only close to the motor revolving frequency of a tracking control system. The circuit 8 produces a sharp resonance at a level close to the motor revolving frequency and increases the overall gain of the tracking control system in terms of an eccentric frequency. Thus the gain of a specific frequency only is increased to obtain the excellent transient characteristics.
